I grew up on a family farm in Iowa, where anything that broke got fixed in the shop, and you didn't spend money on a new part until you understood why the old one quit. I learned the trade on other insulation crews, then started J&R Cedar Rapids Insulation Services in 2021 so I could run jobs the same way, finding what's wrong before anything gets covered up.
Most calls are about a drafty room, cold floors or a heating bill that keeps climbing, often in older homes where nobody's sure what's up in the attic. So I show you, because a homeowner who understands their own house makes a better call on what to spend. Parts of Linn County have a long history of flooding, so in crawl spaces and basements we look for old water damage first. One person, start to finish
I come out to look at your house and write the estimate myself. Our installers do the work, and at the end I go over it with you so you can see what you paid for.
Fix, then seal, then insulate
We deal with what's underneath first, like soaked or dirty old insulation, then close the gaps around lights, pipes and the attic hatch. Fresh insulation goes in last, so your money isn't covering up a leak.
Licensed, insured, permits checked
We're licensed and insured, and we check with the city or county before each job, handling any permit needed. Iowa requires contractors earning $2,000 or more a year from construction to register with the state, so ask anyone you hire.
